Hoera!!! Kathy turned 8 months old on July 3d! Thanks Liza for that lovely card!

Kathy’s weight is about 9520gr. I haven’t measured her for length last month, well, I know she is getting taller, now she is 71cm. Her size is 74, but some of her clothes are a bit to small or a little to big.

Kathy doesnt have teeth yet. We’re still waiting.

Our daily schedule consist of two 180mg bottles (as breakfast and lunch), one bottle 120mg at around 3:30 p.m. and 200mg for a dinner. This week I want to revoke one of the 180mg bottle. Instead, she will get rice cake with some jus or water. We give her fresh fruits in the morning, like banana, pear, apple, perzik, sometimes with cereal and/or cake. She loves fruits, she is humming and claping her hand to her knee whlie eating it.

Before her third 120mg bottle she eats some brawn bread with boter or meatpasta or jam or appel syrup and in the everning before the bath some vegetebles with pasta, rise or potato. Once or twice per week she gets meat, chicken and fish. I tried to give her avocado but she doesn’t like it. Kathy hates brocolli, she makes funny faces, she closes her mouth, turns her head away, spits it out and pretends to throuw up.

Kathy still doesn’t sleep through the night. She usually wakes up a couple of times for her paciefier. During the hot weather she was crying and wanted to be rocked middle of the night. Also since we have had the warm nights she has started to wake up at 3 a.m. for a bottle. I am sure that the heat was keeping her awake. She still needs to be rocked and nursed every time before she fall asleep.

I still dont know and try to figure out how to teach her to fall asleep on her own so she can sleep through the night. Kathy has two short naps a day, in the morning and afternoon, sometimes three.

We give Kathy plenty of tummy time and over the last few weeks Kathy finally made some progress towards crawling. She starts to rock back and forths for some seconds.

Besides that Kathy continues to turn herself from side to side and she’s certainly trying very hard to propel herself forwards. But most of the time her efforts send her backwards.

By playing on her belly she tries to drag herself toward something that’s nearby if she wants it by using her arms. but if what she wants is too far away, she gives up and looks for something different.

Kathy chatters, screems, laughs all day long 🙂 This cute baby babble sounds of real talking now.  Dadada is her favorite syllable to repeat and funny, she starts to wave hello and good bye. She calls me baba, dada, tata, mama. She has got to grab whatever she can reach. Toys, napkin, grass in the park, own hands and fingers, cloths, my hair, tube of cream. Now she’s started touching stuff with her index finger, almost like pointing. She loves touching and pinching grandma’s face in general 🙂

Yea Kathy changed her pram from carrycot to pushchair mode 🙂

And before I close though, just a few more video’s with cute Kathy. Enjoy!
